It has probably been around 10 years since I have been meditating. Moving to a new city in my early 20s by myself certainly had me go through many obstacles and self-discovery. I would have to say one of the hardest parts had nothing to do with money but with my mental health. I slowly but surely had developed a mild to severe case of anxiety, after a visit to my doctor with a recommendation to a psychologist that then led to a psychiatrist who had recommended medication and yoga, a combination of two to help treat anxiety. The best part of that the treatment was not medication but Yoga. Know I am not a yoga teacher but through yoga, I have learned the art of patience, peace, and purpose. Some poses were so difficult however yoga forces you to focus on your breath. What I have learned is Your breath is your energy and your energy is your breath. I went through a transition of battling severe anxiety to where I would even have the sweats, to being completely confident in saying “I am anxiety free!”
It’s in my interest to give back to others to what was given to me, it’s always best to share best practices that help heal and restore energy. In this lifetime we are evolving into a faster and faster generation, you can’t help but think, do we make time for ourselves in the process? I want to help other individuals to receive self-help through the powers of how meditation can help you overcome not only anxiety but help you move into a peaceful future for you and the people you love.
It is so easy now to get medication prescribed to you for almost any illness or sickness. It’s time to look for treatment, the long-term treatment which will impact your life in many ways.
