Everyone chooses their own path in life. Some people may see life as a simple plan. The life goal to find a good career, spouse, have children, live with for the rest of your life, oh and let’s not forget the white picket fenced house to be a bit more specific, also not to be picky but may for our children we want a boy and girl.
Some people may inherit these life’s goals from parents or social norm which could bring someone natural fulfillment however for others like myself this is not simple and easy, I prefer the ancient nomadic ways of moving around and prefer to create new experiences such as adapting to new environments, travelling, and exploring communities, perhaps this makes me a bit more connected to people and fills me with joy.
Exploring new cities, new people and cultures, and learning a new language is what does it for me. After all, knowledge is power, when you know more about the world and how its all connected you really start to see things internally and learn more about yourself. This could sound funny but at the same time can be quite challenging and understand there may be risks involved.
One of the best things I learnt before adventuring is the POWER OF LETTING GO. I had to master the power of letting go of the material world, my car, apartment, clothes and electronics. For myself, meditation taught me to really look at the internal self and let go of the material world as I found materials did not matter. At first, I would ask myself “what am I going to do if I don’t have a car? In an urban city like Vancouver I never really needed a card but I still came up with these thoughts. I also said to myself the same things on everything else around me which was apart of me.
Have you thought about finding ways to get you that dream job or dream place?
These are my four simple ways to live a more humble and fulfilled and how to let go in life when needed.
Let’s say you are making the six-figure income and a working a job which gives you only satisfaction and or you just simply feel complacent. Although you recognize you are still not happy and everything around you is annoying, is it because you thought about changing jobs moving to a new city? The question is do you want to feel different tomorrow or are you going to be okay to be doing the same thing over and over again.
Let go of the material world
Have you thought about what would happen if you quit your job and started another one? The question is what action or actions have you taken to feel different?
Have you thought about moving away or starting a new hobby such as joining a swimming club but don’t know how to swim?
I used to think about all the things I had in my life such as a car, apartment, and the friends which I thought I needed to have to feel secure, but the truth of that is, either you’ll always want more or you’ll want more money, you’ll always want more of everything really its part of our curiosity as humans.
I used to come home and think about “well what if I lost my job, how would I pay my bills?” “what if I don’t have these friends anymore who would be there to support me? the “what if” became my security blanket and I could not see past the physical, which then led me to just keep doing the same thing.
You see when you let go of the material things that you find security in, you’ll be really more insecure and this can bring you to a reality that you have to work on the internal self. I’m not telling you to give up everything in life but the idea is to take risks and take chances to allow for a new opportunity to arise. This will challenge you to be different and give you a bit of motivation to be creative and creativity allows us to feel excited about the new things coming our way. When you work with this energy, you then tap into the energy field of the universe, and you will be amazed to know that everything is all interconnected into a life web.
Let go of just thinking about change and write down your goals
Whenever you want things to be different in life or if you have dreams and ambitions. Write it down, it’s hard to manifest something if you don’t have a clear vision. Laws of attraction work with the energy field and the magnetic fields around you always Science is now starting to prove this through Quantum Physics.
It is so important to remember the more you see your goals the better it is for the frequencies to attract a good transmission. My biggest advice is to write down your goals or type them on your laptop, have pictures on your desktops. If you are reading this the chances are that you are in front of a computer which you have access to which can make it happen. The Law of Vibration states that everything in the Universe moves and vibrates – everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything you see around you is vibrating at one frequency or another, and so are you.
Let go to accept change into your life
Some of us really don’t like change. We like to feel a bit more grounded and feel more at peace when we avoid changing things that already make us feel good such as just being in love with life this is good; although, things happen in life which is not always in our control which is where we can be left feeling stuck knowing that things will not be the same and giving us anxiety. This is where we should find room and opportunity to make things better of if not allow for these changes to give us “flow” allow the flow of change to work with you*
What I do sometimes is and I go to the mirror and start talking to myself and letting myself know that there is a reason for this change, this is to experience something new, all we can do is learn from this experience with gratitude and move forward.
Let go of procrastination and take action
How many times do you think about doing your homework, little house duties, working on these tasks which have a deadline at work but perhaps you find more time talking to friends and family or perhaps you simply are spending too much hanging out with your friends and forgetting your responsibilities? Ask yourself how you want yourself to feel in the future? “how are my current actions going to make me feel in an hour from now” or by the timeline you have given yourself. Remember the more often you PLAN to make yourself feel good the better you will be in making the right choices for the right time. Take time in the present to always be present by putting your responsibilities first. My mama always mentioned “an organized environment is an organized mind” be kind to yourself and organize your emotions don’t allow the worries and anxiety if you can prevent it.
Since my life is usually on the go with such a fast pace, I tend to plan to do my meditations in the morning without resistance. Just know that doing meditation usually makes me feel good and more content throughout the day. Morning meditations help bring clarity in my thoughts which usually prepares me throughout the day to have healthy emotional intelligence.
Let go of uncertainty
Finding a new path that fulfills your soul can be quite challenging especially if we are going through some uncertain experiences. This can lead us to always think about the uncertainty leaving us feeling a little confused and wondering about the past present and future.
Think about it for a min, how often are you thinking about the past? how often are you really thinking about the future? If we are always consciously separated from the present we will never really be happy with our present self. This is not a good way to live a fulfilled life. When we find time to relax and cool down we tend to feel much calmer make better decisions. I also discovered this from being a manager for so many years. It’s best to let go of your thoughts past and future thoughts and find peace with the present with gratitude. This could be done by simply reading a book or doing a 5 min meditation. Sometimes just listening to music and singing along is a good way to clear the mind.
Gratitude can be challenging if we are depressed, which is why its best to close the eyes and put a smile on the face and starting breathing, giving thanks to the air, putting your hands by your side or on your lap and just feeling the energy movement of your hands, giving thanks to your body, your heart (pay attention to the heartbeat).
